Did you know that some smartphones emit more radiation than others? Here is the official ranking of phones: from the most “dangerous” to the safest, in terms of radio microwaves.
Many users are worried about the damage that smartphones could create to our body. On the other hand, telephones have now become an integral part of our life and there are many people who keep them close even when they sleep.

We are all aware that smartphones emit radiation or radio microwaves. What we are not sure about is how harmful these can be for us and, above all, for the little ones. The question it mainly concerns children that by now, more and more young people, are already in possession or in any case in contact with the telephone.
Obviously WHO holds under control the quantity of radiation emitted by telephones, which must necessarily be kept below a certain level in order not to harm health. These microwaves are non-ionizing radiation and therefore similar to those of TV or radio antennas. Some smartphones emit more radiation than others and it is good to be aware of this: here is the updated official ranking.
Smartphones, which are the models that emit the most radiation? The ranking
This list is compiled by the German Federal Office for Radiation Protection and uses as a unit of measurement the SAR values. These correspond to the rate of radio frequency absorption per unit of body mass.
Obviously there is a radiation limit that no smartphone can overcome established by the WHO and is 2 w / g per 10 grams. No phone in this ranking, of course, exceeds this safety value. Here are the phone models that emit the most radiation:
- Xiaomi A1 (1.75 w / kg)
- Motorola Edge (168 w / kg)
- OnePlus 5T (1.68 w / kg)
- Huawei Mate 9 (1.64 w / kg)
- ZTE Axon 11 (1.59 w / kg)
- Xiaomi Max 3 (1.58 w / kg)
- Asus ZenFone 6 (1.57 w / kg)
- OnePlus 6T (1.55 w / kg)
- Sony Xperia XA2 Plus (1.41 w / kg)
Obviously the dangers of excessive use of smartphones do not concern only radiation but, as is now well known, the predisposition to a sedentary lifestyle. Not only that, excessive use of the telephone can also lead to more serious psychological consequences and create addiction. Furthermore, in younger people, extreme contact with the world of social media can lead to estrangement from reality and growth of insecurities.
However, before buying a device, it is always good to understand all its characteristics. We have seen that there is a difference between the various models, even considering security and virus vulnerability. Not only that, when buying a new smartphone you should always be aware of the modalities of disposal of our old device.
