A few weeks ago, rumors began circulating that September 12 was the date for Apple’s next big launch event, and today the company itself confirmed it.
iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max (which may be called iPhone 15 Ultra) will be announced on September 12 at 10am PT. As always, everything will be streamed online at apple.com and in the Apple TV app.

The slogan/word that Apple has chosen in this case is “Wonderlust”, a pun on the word “wanderlust”, which means “a strong desire to travel”. In Apple’s case, would that perhaps translate as “a strong desire to be amazed”? Clearly the fact that we stayed, ahem, Wondering, is part of Apple’s plan.
All four new iPhones will have USB-C ports thanks to recent EU law mandating them, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max/Ultra is said to be the first-ever Apple device to feature a periscopic zoom camera. Both Pro models are expected to sport titanium frames, steering away from stainless steel. The entire series will replace the mute switch with a programmable “action button,” and Dynamic Island will also feature on all of them.
Apple may also opt to update its AirPods lineup to provide them with USB-C ports as well. The Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 are also expected to be the stars of the show.
