Today Xiaomi presented the Mi Band 7, together with Redmi Buds 4 and Redmi Buds 4 Pro. Xiaomi had confirmed the announcement date of the Mi Band 7, and had already become available for booking, albeit priceless.
The biggest update of the Mi Band 7 is the larger display: 1.62 “, compared to 1.56”. The resolution is 490x192px and finally there is an option to keep the display always on. Xiaomi claims that the usable screen area has been increased by 25%. SpO2 – or oxygen saturation – monitoring is improved – if the belt reads less than 90% saturation, it will vibrate to inform you.
Fitness tracking is even better with a total of 120 training modes, four professional sports modes, automatic training detection, an option to organize competitions with friends, and more.
Xiaomi claims that Mi Band 7’s 180mAh battery is expected to last 14 days, but we would expect it to be without always-on mode. Charging the band takes 2 hours.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 7 will start from CNY 239 and is officially on pre-order from today. The NFC model, which supports payments on AliPay, will cost slightly more.
Let’s move on to the Redmi Buds 4 Pro, which are equipped with an intelligent noise reduction system capable of suppressing up to 43 dB of noise. The buds are IP54 rated, so they’ll be fine during a sweaty workout or outdoors in the rain.
Sound is emitted from a combination of a 10mm driver and a 6mm tweeter. The buds are Bluetooth 5.3 and offer a latency of just 59ms. Xiaomi claims you can get 9 hours of consistent use without ANC, while the case provides another 36 hours.
The Redmi Buds 4 Pro are available for pre-order in black and white, priced at 369 CNY. They will be shipped from May 31st.
The Redmi Buds 4 also offer active noise cancellation but with a lower rating of 35 dB. Each gem has a 10mm driver, while connectivity is reduced to Bluetooth 5.2. The case provides an extra 30 hours of charging.
The Redmi Buds 4 are available in blue and white and can be pre-ordered today for CNY 199. Shipping will start on May 31st.
We expect the Mi Band 7, Redmi Buds 4 and 4 Pro all to hit the global market by the end of the year.
