After lengthy negotiations with the government, Apple has been given the green light to open its first official stores in the country. India requires at least 30% of the companies’ output to be on Indian soil to qualify for store locations. And after opening the Apple BKC store in Mumbai two days ago, Apple has opened its store in New Delhi.

Sure, New Delhi’s Apple Saket store isn’t as grand as Mumbai’s BKC one as it’s more of an ordinary mall store, but it has attracted many fans. The video below shows a huge crowd on more than one floor.

However, the interior of the store is in keeping with Apple’s design language, with oak tables displaying Apple products and accessories alongside a home-made feature wall.
