FT: Apple is facing poor yield of iPhone cases made in India

The new report says the low performance of the iPhone casing in India is a big success for Apple’s plans to outsource a larger portion of iPhone manufacturing to India. Former Apple employees named in the report believe the carcass yield situation will improve, but the process will likely require a significant amount of time and effort.

Based on a recent report, Apple plans to shift up to 25% of all iPhone production to India by 2025 and up to 50% by 2027.
