The vivo X90 family is waiting for a new member, this time with Dimension 9200+ chipset. After appearing on Google Play Console yesterday, it is now in the sights of prolific Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station. According to what it reveals, the S version will be a rather minor upgrade in terms of hardware with the chipset being the only notable change.
The vivo X90S is expected to feature a 3.35GHz CPU and Wi-Fi 7 support, courtesy of Mediatek’s new SoC. It will keep the 6.78-inch OLED with curved edges and 1260p resolution. The panel will once again be made by BOE.
The leakster said that the main camera will have a 50MP Sony IMX866 sensor, which is the same as the current vivo X90, and will be accompanied by the internal ISP V2. The charging speed will also remain unchanged at 120W. The switch to Dimensity 9300 will be made with the vivo X100 series, expected in November 2023.
The battery capacity of the X90 was 4,810mAh. We don’t know if vivo will repeat the generation of vivo X60 and vivo X60s, where the S model brought a bigger battery.
