Google’s Pixel Tablet is getting a little old, having launched last June without a successor yet. But don’t worry because Google is actually working on the Pixel Tablet 2 and, according to a new rumor, that one will come with a keyboard case. It’s unclear whether it will come bundled with the tablet or offered as a separate purchase.

The next tablet will also have new and better cameras, compared to those fitted on the original Pixel Tablet.

The Pixel Tablet 2 will also be powered by a newer SoC than the original’s Tensor G2, which is obviously not surprising. Whether it’s the Tensor G4 from the Pixel 9 family or the Tensor G5 coming next year probably depends on when exactly it launches. It is assumed that the release is still many months away.

With the new chip, the tablet will receive seven years of updates in addition to support for display output. The overall design of the new device won’t change much compared to its predecessor, but it may have smaller bezels and the buttons may move slightly.
