Just yesterday Honor launched the Pad X8 Pro in China, now the same tablet has arrived in Europe, albeit with a new name. Then, meet the Honor Pad X9.
This whiteboard has an elegant structure and is composed for multimedia content. It has a fairly large 11.5-inch IPS LCD with 100% sRGB coverage. The display has a resolution of 2,000 x 1,200 px and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The X9 features 6 speakers in total, two each on the left, right and bottom sides. Bottom-firing speakers are meant to bounce sound around the room to create a 360° audio experience enabled by Honor Histen technology.

The tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 685 and runs MagicOS 7.1 (Android 13). It supports Google Kids Space and the Family Link app, so parents can set limits on content access and screen time. If you have multiple Honor devices, Honor Connect will share notifications between them and streamline file transfers.
The tablet has a metal body that measures 6.9mm thick and weighs 495g. This one is with a 7,250mAh battery inside.

HonorPad X9
The Honor Pad X9 only has one configuration for now: Wi-Fi, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for €250 / £180. It will now be available in German and the UK from 19 July via the online shop HiHonor. The UK store will give you a free pair of Honor Earbuds X5 (£40) if you buy before the end of July. The tablet will also be available through other retailers: Amazon, Argos, Very and Currys.
For comparison, the older Honor Pad X8 costs €180/£140 in a 4/64GB configuration. The older Slate is smaller – 10.1-inch 60Hz, 1,920 x 1,200px display – and has a smaller 5,100mAh battery. Also, it only has stereo speakers and uses a MediaTek MT8786 chipset.
