The itel P40 was announced today, becoming the brand’s latest entry-level offering. The phone offers a large display and a large battery as its key selling points.

The P40 has a 6.6-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate. There’s a waterdrop notch at the top for the 5MP selfie shooter.

There are two more cameras on the back: the main 13MP one and a VGA depth sensor.

The phone is powered by the modest Unisoc SC9863A chipset. It has eight Cortex-A55 CPU cores running at 1.6GHz, while the GPU is PowerVR GE8322, clocked at 550MHz.

The manufacturer has not disclosed the actual RAM as they quote it with dynamic RAM included: 64+7GB, 32+6GB, and 64+4GB. Chances are we’re looking at 64/4GB, 32/3GB and 64/2GB RAM versions.

The itel P40 runs Android 12 Go Edition. The battery is 6,000mAh and supports 18W charging. Other highlights include a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and Face Unlock features.

The price is INR7,699, which translates to just $92/€88, and the phone can already be purchased from the company store. Color options are yellow, blue and black.
