Introduction

Motorola’s Moto G series has long been the company’s benchmark for affordable smartphones. The latest Moto G Power (2026) is now official, making its debut in the US and Canada, with availability likely in other markets to follow.

Motorola Moto G Power (2026) review.

The Moto G Power (2026) isn’t aiming for raw performance or a great camera setup. Instead, it is positioned firmly in the budget segment. That said, it remains a thoroughly modern smartphone, covering the essentials quite well for its target audience.

Some of the highlights include 5G connectivity, great ruggedness (IP68/69 and MIL-STD-810H), a dedicated microSDXC memory expansion slot, and a true 3.5mm audio jack and stereo speakers.

The specifications of the Motorola Moto G Power (2026) in brief:

  • Body: 166.6×77.1×8.7mm, 208g; Glass front (Gorilla Glass 7i), silicone polymer (eco-leather) back, plastic frame; IP68/IP69 dustproof and water resistant (high pressure water jets; submersible up to 1.5 m for 30 minutes), MIL-STD-810H* compliant.
  • Display: 6.80″ IPS LCD, 120 Hz, 1000 nits (HBM), 1080×2388 px resolution, 19.9:9 aspect ratio, 387ppi.
  • Chipsets: Mediatek Dimensity 6300 (6 nm): Octa-core (2×2.4 GHz Cortex-A76 and 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55); Mali-G57 MC2.
  • Memory: 128GB 8GB RAM; UFS2.2; microSDXC (dedicated slot).
  • Operating system/software: Android 16.
  • Rear camera: Wide (main): 50 MP, f/1.8, 1/2.88″, 0.61μm, PDAF, OIS; Ultra wide angle: 8 MP, f/2.2, 13 mm 119 degrees, 1.12 µm, AF.
  • Front camera: 32 MP, f/2.5, (wide).
  • Capture Video: Rear camera: 1080p@30/60fps; Front camera: 1080p@30fps.
  • Drums: 5200mAh; Wired 30W, wireless 15W.
  • Connectivity: 5G; eSIM; WiFi 5; BT; NFC; FM radio; 3.5mm socket.
  • Miscellaneous: Fingerprint reader (side-mounted); stereo speakers (with Dolby Atmos).

The camera setup isn’t particularly impressive, but at least there are some highlights like autofocus on the ultrawide. The Mediatek Dimensity 6300 also fails to impress. And the 5,200 mAh battery may be a decent size, but just like last year’s model, the capacity is a little too modest for a phone with Power in the name.

On a more positive note, the Moto G Power (2026) is certainly a spectacle. Our unit has a soft, almost rubbery finish that feels very unique.

Unboxing

The Moto G Power (2026) ships in a very thin two-piece cardboard box. The box is two-tone with glossy printing.

There is no plastic anywhere in the package, neither inside nor outside. The printing is also done with soy ink, therefore the maximum for ecological processes.

There’s not much of an accessory package to speak of. The only thing inside the box next to the phone is a basic, unmarked 3A USB Type-C to Type-C cable, wired for both power and data. That’s all: no charger, no case or anything.
