As promised, Motorola today unveiled the Edge 40 in India. It is available in Jet Black, Reseda Green and Coronet Blue colors in a single 8GB/256GB configuration priced at ₹29,999 ($360 / €335). The smartphone will go on sale starting May 30 via Flipkart and Motorola’s official Indian website, with those who pre-order it on Flipkart getting free screen damage protection worth ₹9,500 ($115/€105).

The Motorola Edge 40 is powered by the Dimension 8020 SoC and runs Android 13 out of the box. It’s built around a 6.55″ 144Hz FullHD+ OLED screen with a hole-centered 32MP selfie camera and an underlying fingerprint reader for unlocking the phone without a password.

The back panel of the Motorola Edge 40, which is made of acrylic plastic on the Coronet Blue model and has a vegan leather finish on the Jet Black and Reseda Green versions, sports a 50MP main camera (with OIS) and an ultrawide 13MP.
