Last week, leaker Max J wrote that OnePlus has only one flagship to unveil this year: OnePlus 10T 5G (codenamed “Ovaltine”). So far the company has only released the 10 Pro (in January) and it was just, no vanilla, no Ultra models. The 10T will presumably take the place of the vanilla model with a smaller display, although not much is known about it.
As is sometimes the case with T editions, the new model will carry an updated chipset – a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, according to another leakster, Abhishek Yadav. The Ultra was rumored to use the 8+ chip, but it’s unclear what happened to that model or if it ever existed. For what it’s worth, when Qualcomm announced the new chipset, it listed a number of companies working on 8+ Gen 1 devices to be released in the third quarter (July-September) and OnePlus was among them.

OnePlus hasn’t released a T Pro phone from the 7 series and it looks like it won’t be doing it this year either. Which will leave the OnePlus 10T 5G with a faster chipset than the best Pro model in the company’s line-up.
The 10T is also expected to feature faster charging: 150W as on the 10R, compared to the 10 Pro’s 80W. But it’s quite unlikely the 10T will feature a better camera setup, so the 48 + 50 + 8MP Hasselblad camera on the 10 Pro could be as good as OnePlus’s this year.
