Ahead of its global debut on February 7, the OnePlus 11 has been officially announced in its Chinese home market. Despite lacking a Pro in its name, the phone is a real flagship with the latest and greatest chipset, memory, and cameras.

The SoC is Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and OnePlus executives said on stage that the chipset will be fully operational at its maximum capacity. Normally that wouldn’t be a noteworthy observation, but it could very well indicate that OnePlus is done with its past practices of throttling performance to increase battery life and keep thermals in check.

The phone comes with 12GB or 16GB of the latest LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The OnePlus 11 is built around a new 6.7″ LTPO 3.0 AMOLED display with 1440p resolution. It can refresh at a 1Hz to 120Hz refresh rate with over 100 apps promising to support granular dimming.

The Hasselblad camera on the back of the OnePlus 11 has been upgraded to a 50MP main Sony IMX890 sensor with multi-directional PDAF and OIS. There’s a 48MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide-angle shooter with autofocus that lets you service a macro camera, and a 32MP Sony IMX709 2x telephoto.

The 16MP selfie camera sits inside a hole in the top left corner.

The camera setup is apparently identical to that of the Oppo Find N2, but this is no surprise as both brands recently announced a new strategic partnership. After reviewing it, we found its performance to be very impressive, and it could do even better with the new Snapdragon chip.

The battery of the OnePlus 11 has a capacity of 5,000 mAh, like its predecessor. However, this time it can reach a charging speed of 100W via cable. However, wireless charging isn’t on the menu.

Gamers will appreciate the X-axis vibration motor, which is 602 cu.mm – the largest yet in a smartphone according to the company’s claims.
