Oppo is expected to announce the Reno9 series of phones in China this month and there has been no shortage of rumors and leaks about the devices in recent times. Now we can add another one to the mix: a series of renders courtesy of industry leaker Evan Blass.
Oppo Reno9, Reno9 Pro and Reno9 Pro Plus
It claims that the Reno9, 9 Pro and 9 Pro Plus are all present in the leak and in fact, looking at the very similar renders, we can spot some differences. If the leak is holding back water, it looks like the vanilla Reno9 will have a curved display as well. What it may not have, according to renders, is Oppo’s custom MariSilicon imaging NPU as text is absent from the camera island of one of the phones.
It’s also pretty easy to see that what is supposedly the Reno9 Pro Plus has a larger camera island, not flush with the rest of the phone’s body, and an additional camera. This rendering perfectly matches last month’s Reno9 live photos.
We also have some specs that are rumored, although we can’t necessarily say which Reno9 model they might be associated with. Presumably, Reno9 vanilla. Specs include a 6.7 “OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1080p resolution, and an under-display fingerprint reader. A 64MP Omnivision OV64B main snapper on the rear and a 32MP Sony IMX709 selfie. MP on the front. The Reno9 will reportedly be powered by the Snapdragon 778G Chipset with 12GB of RAM and a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging.
As for the Reno9 Pro Plus, current rumors suggest it will have a MediaTek Dimensity 8000 chipset and a 50MP Sony IMX 766 main camera sensor.
