The popularity of foldable phones is slowly but surely growing and the Chinese market currently boasts the best selection thanks to stiff competition from domestic brands. Xiaomi’s latest foldable model was launched earlier this month with the Mix Fold 3 and now we are ready with our video review.
The Mix Fold 3 is among the thinnest and lightest horizontal foldable phones currently available. It is just 5.3mm when unfolded and 10.9mm when folded, weighing in at 255 grams. Our unit features a glass back that features a special coating that mimics the feel of vegan leather. Sadly, the Mix Fold 3 offers no form of ingress protection in this case.
While talking about the back we can turn our attention to the Leica quad camera setup. This is the first foldable launched with four camera modules that offers a more versatile experience. The 50MP main and 12MP ultrawide cameras deliver great image quality with just the right amount of pop in both day and night shots. The 10MP 3.2x and 5x zoom modules performed well overall, with occasional glitches in white balance.

The coverage screen features a wide 21:9 ratio that looks just like a regular plate phone and is much easier to type than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5. The main 8.03 LTPO OLED screen offers an excellent multimedia experience and its crease is barely noticeable compared to some competitors.

Brightness is excellent at up to 1,300 nits in automatic mode. The Mix Fold 3 also impressed in the battery department with a class-leading 117 hours endurance score in our tests, well above the competition.
You can read more about the Mix Fold 3 in our full written review which covers all the rigorous testing we put the phone through.
