“Dogfooding” means that Company employees are testing a new feature or service before making it publicly available. This suggests that Google is accidentally sending money to random users to “test” Google Pay features instead of paying their own employees who actually tested them.
Later, Google informed affected users that they would try to reverse the payment, but if they were unable to do so, the money would be theirs. Do you happen to be one of those lucky Pixel users?
