The most recent Chipset of Qualcomm series is here and brings some minor updates to its predecessor. Snapdragon 7S Gen 4 (SM7750-AB) is a direct successor of the SD 7S Gen 3 last year and offers a Kryo CPU practically unchanged with the same Core 1+3+4 architecture.
The Core 1x Prime Cortex-A720 is now a 2.7 GHz clock compared to 2.5 GHz on 7S Gen 3. Clock speeds on the 3x Cortex-A720 (2.4 GHz) and 4x Cortex-A520 (1.8GHz) modules remain unchanged. Qualcomm says that you can expect a 7% performance gain in the CPU activities.

The new chip gets an updated Adreno GPU, which Qualcomm says that it offers a 7% increase compared to its predecessor. It also brings Elite Snapdragon game features as Adaptive Performance Engine 3.0 and Snapdragon Game Super Resolution.
The new bit is the added support for ultra wide displays (up to 1,300 x 2,900px) to an update frequency at 144Hz. Qualcomm is also bringing an ISP updated spectrum, which can request 200 MP sensors and 4K video at 30 FPS, including the Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG), HDR10 and HDR10+formats.

The updated Hexagon NPU offers better artificial intelligence performance with support for Llam 1b and QWEN 1B and real -time translation. The chip is equipped with LPDDR5 RAM at 3,200 MHz and UFS 3.1 storage, as well as the Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ charging technology.
On the connectivity side, the new 7S Gen 4 chip supports sub-6 GHz 5G, Wi-Fi 6e and Bluetooth 5.4. It also brings support for APTX adaptive audio codec without loss and aptx.
Qualcomm has yet to reveal which phone will debut to the brand new chip.
