introduction

The Realme 10 series has officially started and the Realme 10 headliner is already in our office. It’s a low-end mid-range with great value for money, one that comes in the midst of multiple global crises, such as covid, supply chain problems, and inflation.

Realme 10 review

Realme aimed to launch Realme 10 at the same price as Realme 9, and it did! The new phone has similar specs, is advertised for its improved performance and photo capabilities, and just like every other Realme before, the 10 also impresses with an attractive design.

The Realme 10 uses the same 6.4-inch AMOLED screen as the Realme 9, has a resolution of 1080p, a refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch response rate of 360Hz. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

The new model is based on MediaTek’s Helio G99 chipset, which is expected to offer much better performance than the Snapdragon 680 inside the Realme 9, especially when it comes to gaming. The phone has 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage and a microSD slot.

Realme 10 review

On the back of the Realme 10 is a dual camera with a 50MP primary and a 2MP depth auxiliary. While this is somewhat of a downgrade from Realme 9’s triple camera, the manufacturer promises better photo quality and new features.

The Realme 10 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 33W wired fast charging. This is the same battery capacity and charging power as the Realme 9, but the new chipset may have a different impact on life. battery and we will definitely test it.

Realme 10 comes with Android 12 and realme UI 3.0. There will be at least two major updates for this smartphone, potentially more depending on some future developments.

Let’s now examine the complete data sheet.

The Realme 10 is not splash resistant, unlike other competitors, although we understand that a lot of cost-cutting decisions had to be made in order for this phone to launch at the same price as its predecessor.

The Realme 10 has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner instead of one below the display, but both are equally useful and we won’t hold it against. We would have liked stereo speakers, but it seems like there was nothing left in the budget for it.

The Realme 10 is the simplest phone in the series so far and obviously the most affordable. There are better Realme phones for those who want more, for sure, but we feel Realme 10 strikes the right balance between price and functionality and will appeal to those looking for a cheap yet powerful phone.

So without further ado, here’s Realme 10 unboxed.

Unboxing the Realme 10

The Realme 10 comes in one of these distinctive yellow boxes that Realme phones are known for. Contains the phone, a 33W charger and a USB-A-to-C cable.

You will also find a clear silicone case in the card compartment.

Like most budget phones, Realme 10 also has a pre-applied screen protector. It’s pretty cheap quality and has a huge fingerprint magnet, so we quickly removed it. However, it’s good against scratches right out of the box, so we appreciate it.
