Samsung Romania is launching a promotion that will give away 10 Galaxy Z Flip5 phones to people who pre-register between July 26 and August 2. Naturally, they have published a PDF with the terms and conditions for this promotion, which includes the price of the items that are given away. Oops.
According to that document, the 256GB Z Flip5 is priced at 6,599 RON, which converts to 1,335 euros. For comparison, a 256GB Z Flip4 cost RON 5,700 at launch last year (so the new model is 16% more expensive).

The price of 10 Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 phones in Romania
There have been a couple of leaks before: one from Greece, which priced the 128GB model at a similar €1,300, and one from France, which said the 256GB model will cost €1,200 (a smaller increase than to last year’s Z Flip4 256GB for €1,170).
Note that different EU countries have different VAT: 19% in Romania, 24% in Greece and 20% in France. Even so, there’s some discrepancy in those prices: the price before VAT according to the Romanian leak is €1,120, compared to €1,000 based on France’s (both are for the 256GB drive). ). The Greek leak indicates a price before VAT for the smaller 128GB capacity of €1,050.
A difference of €70 (excluding VAT) between the 128GB and 256GB models seems reasonable, but that also makes the French price for the 256GB model suspiciously low.
For now, let’s withhold judgment before we see more leaks from local retailers. The official reveal is set for July 26. By the way, the French leak also detailed a larger price increase for the Galaxy Z Fold5 (€100-120), but nothing is known from Romania or Greece yet.
