Samsung is bringing its latest rugged Android devices to the United States. The Galaxy Xcover6 Pro and Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro are now available for sale with 5G connectivity and MIL-STD-810H compliance for operation in extreme conditions.
Samsung Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro
The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro was announced in late June. It features a 6.6-inch IPS LCD panel with FHD + resolution with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The display, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus +, is also designed to be operated with wet hands or gloves. The hardware is rated for IP68 water and dust resistance.
The Xcover 6 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 778G chipset paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of memory expandable via microSD. There’s a removable 4,050mAh battery and support for 15W charging or charging via pogo pin on a supported base.

The phone features a programmable push-to-talk button, headphone jack, speaker with boost mode and support for Samsung DeX. In the camera department: a 50MP main camera with f / 1.8 aperture and an 8MP ultrawide shooter. At the front, there’s a 13MP selfie camera and the Xcover 6 Pro will run Android 12 out of the box.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro
The Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro was announced earlier this month with a 10.1-inch TFT LCD screen protected by Gorilla Glass 5. This rugged tablet comes with an S Pen and includes a protective case. Like the Xcover6 Pro, this device is also MIL-STD-810H compliant to withstand altitude, humidity, immersion, salt spray, dust, vibration and drops up to 1m in height.
Also powered by the Snapdragon 788G, the Tab Active4 Pro uses 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The tablet has push-to-talk button, volume boost and can also be used with wet hands or gloves.
Both devices can also be used as POS systems with support for NFC payments on Samsung’s Knox Platform for POS. Knox Capture allows you to use both devices for barcode scanning and inventory tracking.

The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro will be available starting October 20 through US carriers and will subsequently be offered through Samsung.com, Samsung Business, Amazon Business and IT channel partners. The pricing information has not yet been confirmed by Samsung.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro is now available at Samsung Business, Amazon Business, and Samsung’s IT channel partners for a starting price of $ 649.
