The Galaxy A22 had an AMOLED display, albeit with a resolution of 720p, and with 6.4 inches and reasonable bezels it made for a compact phone. The Galaxy A23 has a larger 6.6-inch 1080p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, but it’s a bigger phone itself.

The display isn’t bad, but it’s not great either. It’s not as bright as we’d like and struggles for readability in some scenarios. It’s also slightly blue, but we’ll test it thoroughly in our review and give you a more detailed rundown.

On the upside, the Galaxy A23 has a 50MP main camera that should work well for the class. The processor of choice is the Snapdragon 665, an 11nm chip which, while not great, offers good overall performance.

The strongest side of the Galaxy A23 is the battery. At 5,000mAh, it should last a long time between charges. We’ll test this and more in our full review, but please be patient – there are a lot of phones queuing up right now.
