One UI 6 is next on Samsung’s software roadmap, and by all accounts, the update will ship alongside Android 14. As per previous rumors, Samsung is expected to launch its public beta test for One Ui 6 and Android 14 in the third week of July. And, as usual, the latest series of flagship phones, in this case the Galaxy S23 family, will be the first to participate. The Korean giant appears to be on the right track with this program, judging by a recent leak on GeekBench, where a Galaxy S23 Ultra running Android 14 and presumably One UI 6 on top was spotted.

GeekBench reports Android 14 on Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
The unit spotted on GeekBench is a US model ‘SM-S918U’ with operator lock (AT&T). As this is beta software, the particular benchmark score should not be considered indicative of final performance. What the leak is an indication of, however, is that internal beta testing for the new software combination is likely well underway.
If Samsung sticks to its normal release phases, we can expect at least a few weeks of public testing and at least four public betas before the company releases the stable Android update for the S23 family. Of course, other Samsung devices are also eligible for OTA. You can read more about it here.

As for the update itself, it’s still unclear exactly what One UI 6 will bring other than a few minor UI changes. Android 14 has some notable features like improved battery status information, improved Nearby Sharing and a new Share menu, predictive back gestures, and a transparent navigation bar in all apps, just to name a few.
