As you have heard, the Vanilla Galaxy model is leaving – and this is great news because it will be replaced by a more capable pro model. What improvements can we expect? A bigger battery, to begin with.
According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro will have a battery with a typical capacity of 4,300 mAh. It would be 300 mAh more than the S25 and S24 and 400 mAh more than the S23.

The Galaxy S25 has only a 4,000 mAh battery capacity
S26 PRO is M1 appointed in code and will have a model number SM-S942. We heard that the 50 MP isocell GN3 sensor will be replaced (it was used in S23, S24 and S25), but this may not bring an update of the resolution. ISOCELL GN5, for example, is a 50 MP 1/1.56 “sensor with 1.0 µm pixel – not too different from the GN3. However, the GN5 has improved the performance of autofocus and has introduced the isolation of the deep double pixel trench – The sensor upgrades are not all in resolution, you know.
As previously reported, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge (M2, SM-S-947) will also get a shock for the battery at 4,200 mAh typical capacity, 300 mAh more than the S25 edge. And it will be even thinner than the current 5.8 mm model.
You can’t help but ask you if these new batteries will be combined with an update of the charging speed. We have heard that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will finally go above 45 W, up to 60 W. However, this may or may not have an update of the capacity: some sources claim a 10% increase to 5,500 mAh, others say that it will remain at 5,000 mAh.

We did not hear anything of a charging update to S26 Pro and S26 Edge and given their battery skills – about the same as Z, however, we would not mind being surprised.
