Samsung is looking to expand its foldable range to the mid-range. According to a TrendForce report, Samsung plans to announce a mid-range foldable next year. This ties in with previous rumors, but it’s not yet clear whether this will be a book-style foldout or a clamshell.
The second hypothesis is likely and we could find ourselves faced with a Galaxy Z Flip6 FE with watered down specifications. The report also states that Huawei will look to introduce a more competitively priced foldable soon.
Second Revegnus on Twitter, Samsung set a price target for its mid-range foldable of between $400 and $500 – even before VAT, Europeans will likely be looking at a €650 foldable. That’s still an incredible price : The Galaxy Z Flip5 starts at just under €800.
