The TAG Heuer Connected Caliber E4 range of smartwatches was announced last year, and now the company is introducing three new additions to the family. As you’d expect, they’re all quite expensive, with the 42mm option being the cheapest, priced at $2,350.
The 42mm is smaller than the original but uses a 1.28-inch display with a virtually bezel-less panel protected by a sapphire crystal dome. It is however an OLED, with a resolution of 416 x 416 px.
The body is made of grade 2 titanium frame with black coating, making it the company’s lightest smartwatch.
The 42mm Golf Edition, on the other hand, features the same body, but is also more expensive at $2,500 as it comes with three TAG Heuer-branded golf balls and two pairs of bands. One in black leather with green stitching and a white rubber strap.
Additionally, the watch “supports” 40,000 golf courses worldwide, allowing for automatic tracking without any manual input. Your watch can track your score, which golf club you’re using, and where you are on the golf course.
The Caliber E4 Sports Edition is the most expensive of the bunch, asking $2,600, but it’s also the largest. It’s in a 45mm form factor, just like the current Connected Caliber E4 models, with a ceramic bezel around the 1.39-inch 454 x 454px OLED display, and a breathable rubber strap suitable for sports.
On the software front, the Sport Edition offers the Trail & Hiking function, taking advantage of the watch’s barometer and evaluating one’s performance.
TAG Heuer will make all three models available later this month and promises to update them to Wear OS 3 once Google starts seeding the new software.
