Back in September, Polestar announced its plans to launch a Meizu-made smartphone to complement its expanding fleet of electric vehicles, and now we get our first glimpse of the device. The company teased the design of the Polestar Phone during the inaugural Polestar Day event.
The phone has the signature Meizu design language seen on the Meizu 20 series with flat metal construction and three camera modules housed in individual camera rings. A close-up of the video revealed that we’re looking at a 23mm-equivalent main camera with an f/1.9 aperture alongside a 70mm telephoto lens (f/2.0) and a 15mm ultrawide lens with an f/2.4 aperture .

Polestar Phone also offers a flat display with a hole for the selfie camera. The sides feature Polestar branding while the back features the company logo.

One of the most interesting aspects is how Polestar will integrate its next phone with its cars. Meizu, owned by the same parent company Geely, has its own Flyme Auto car software. However, reports from China suggest that the Polestar Phone could offer a Polestar OS interface possibly developed in collaboration with Meizu.

The device is billed as a flagship phone, which means we should expect to see Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, lots of RAM, and even some form of fast charging. The Polestar Phone is said to be a China exclusive, but we’ll have to wait for more details and an official launch before drawing any conclusions.
