The Capture button will be a physical button located on the bottom right of the new iPhone 16 devices and will allow for instant image capture and video recording. Past rumors suggest that it will be flush with the phone’s chassis and will feature a force touch sensor for touch and pressure controls.
The new details are that it will offer the ability to half-press to focus and full-press to capture an image or start a video recording session. Additionally, Apple is also said to be introducing swipe gestures that will allow zoom control directly from the Capture button. These new zoom controls will come in handy on the smaller iPhone 16 Pro which is said to receive the 5x tetraprism lens.
