YouTube has updated its guidelines for advertisers and now allows creators to keep complete advertising revenues even if their videos contain strong vulgarity. The experience of the Head of YouTube monetization policy confirmed the modification in a video published on the Insider Creator channel. Creators are now authorized to use strong vulgarity in the first seven seconds of their videos while maintaining full monetization.

As the video explains, the new rules “align with the transmission standards” and “advertisers expected the advertisements on YouTube to have the distance between vulgarity and announcement that served”. The move does not intend to increase the use of vulgarity on YouTube content, but has the purpose of “allowing advertisers to better combine their commercials with certain content”. The creators will not be entitled to full monetization whether their video title or miniature contains swear words.

The new system uses an automatic learning model to differentiate the users’ age based on videos, the searches history and the longevity of the account. If the system confirms that you are less than 18 years old, you will automatically turn on Youtube age filters, disable custom ads and enable digital well -being tools.
