How many times can you launch the same series of smartphones? Well, if you are the Xiaomi Redmi sub-brand, the answer to this question nowadays seems to be “at least three”. The Redmi Note 12 series was first launched in China in November. Then, in January, they made the leap to India, where the Redmi Note 12 is different than the Chinese Redmi Note 12, although the Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ remained the same.

Now, nearly two months after the Indian launch, the brand has unveiled the ‘third time is a charm’ launch event, which will be held on 23rd March with the tagline ‘Live vivid’.

As you can see, the company is definitely high on its offering here, with references to space shuttles being needed “just to catch up” with the “out of this world amazing” launch. We’d believe it too, if this weren’t the third rodeo for the same models.

Oddly, there’s no mention of the geography we can find, so it’s unclear what markets this launch is aimed at, specifically. Since it was announced by Xiaomi’s global Twitter account, however, we’re assuming it will be a “global” launch, even though the meaning of that word when it comes to things related to Xiaomi is getting more and more vague by the year. We’re guessing that means the devices will be officially available in Europe, and possibly other places as well, but it looks like we won’t know for sure before that happens, so join us on March 23 to figure out exactly what’s what.

The event will take place online at 11pm in China, or 3pm in London, 4pm CET, 11am EST and 8:30pm in India, respectively.
