Xiaomi has confirmed that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will launch later this month, however, the company is keeping the design under wraps for now. This hasn’t stopped On Leaks AND Smartprixwho shared 3D renders of the new camera flagship and, well, check it out for yourself.

The design appears subdued compared to the 12S Ultra. The 1-inch IMX989 sensor requires more thickness, so Xiaomi has again resorted to a double bump. However, instead of the stacked design of the previous model, the 13 Ultra tries to blend the bottom layer with the back.

According to the CAD design measurements, the phone measures 163.2 x 74.6 x 9.57 mm, without the bump. With the impact the total thickness is 15.61 mm. For comparison, the 12S Ultra is 9.1mm without the bump and 13.5mm with it.

We’ll double-check those numbers when Xiaomi makes the new Ultra official (which is expected to happen on April 18), but this is shaping up to be a massive phone. The texture on the back is supposedly faux leather.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra will have four cameras, one more than the 12S Ultra and 13 Pro. Rumors suggest it will be a quad 50MP setup. There are no details on the add-on module, but we can speculate that it will be a mid-range zoom lens to bridge the gap between the 23mm prime lens and the 75mm periscope (these numbers are from the 13 Pro camera setup).

The phone is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and a 4,900mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. It is expected to have a 6.7-inch 120Hz curved AMOLED display.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be available globally. There’s no official word on pricing yet, of course, but a leak has shown a price tag of CNY6,300 for the base 8/256GB model and CNY6,800 for the 12/256GB version. The equivalent Xiaomi 13 Pro units cost CNY 5,400 and CNY 5,800 respectively. The 8/256 GB version is not available in Europe, the 12/256 GB 13 Pro costs 1,400 euros.
