Say hello to Redmi Pad SE, the latest tablet in Xiaomi’s affordable sub-brand portfolio. The device arrives on the international scene with a large screen for “exceptional visual enjoyment” and a price of just 199 euros.

Redmi has equipped this tablet with a Snapdragon 680 chipset. It is built on the 6nm process and has 128GB of storage alongside it; there is a micro SD port for up to 1TB more. We can select one of three RAM options: 4GB, 6GB or 8GB.
The screen is an 11-inch LCD with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels with a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. Redmi promises a brightness of 400 nits and a contrast ratio of 1500:1, and the brand has even certified the panel at TUV Rheinland for its low blue light.

The front has a fairly slim bezel which hides the 5MP selfie camera which sits on the top side (when held horizontally). On the back is an 8MP f/2.0 camera with 1080p video recording capability. Redmi Pad SE comes with “four large speakers” and support for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio, and also has a 3.5mm audio jack.
There’s also a USB-C port for the 8,000mAh battery, which sadly only supports 10W charging. Other specs include Android 13 with MIUI Pad 14 on top, a 478g body, dual-frequency Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.0.

Redmi Pad SE is available in three colors: lavender purple, graphite gray and mint green. Prices are €199 for the 4GB version, €229 for the 6GB version and €249 for the 8GB variant. Some retailers will also offer a proprietary cover in black or white for added comfort and protection for an undisclosed additional price.
