ZTE is set to unveil its Axon 40 series on May 9, and we expect at least three models: an Axon 40, a 40 Pro and a 40 Ultra. The company’s latest teasers reveal that the Ultra model will feature three 64MP cameras on the rear with a wide-angle, ultrawide and periscope lens setup.

ZTE also shared a trio of samples from each lens highlighting their performance and confirmed that all three cameras will be capable of capturing 8K video.

We have no further details on the camera sensor specs. Axon 40 Ultra will use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset as confirmed on Weibo, although the rest of its specs remain to be seen. We know the Axon 40 will bring an improved under-display selfie cam under its 1440p AMOLED screen.
