Sony has revealed that its first State of Play presentation of the year will take place on Thursday 25 February. The announcement was posted on the official PlayStation blog.

The Nintendo Direct-style event is usually used to announce new games and provide fans with updates on projects currently in development.

While it hasn’t officially revealed which titles will be included when streaming State of Play, the company has announced that there will be no hardware announcements.

However, fans can expect to see information on 10 different titles. These will be a mix of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games, some of which were first shown during the PS5 Showcase in June last year.

There will also be updates on some indie games along with bigger AAA games from big publishers. it is currently unclear whether new proprietary projects will be announced.

Anyone wishing to watch the progress can tune into PlayStation’s official Twitch or YouTube channels from 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10pm GMT.
