Disney World will allow Star Wars superfans to experience a galaxy far, far away with their new Galactic Starcruiser resort. This is a two night experience, one of a kind, but you may have to sell yourself to Jabba the Hutt to afford it.
The resort will open in spring 2022. And it’s more than just a themed hotel – guests will spend two nights experiencing their own Star Wars adventure. Some fans are hoping this will be a bit like Western worldminus all the bloodshed and the philosophical gaze on the navel.
However, this experience will be more expensive than most fans probably imagined. A standard two-guest cabin for the two-night experience costs $ 4,809. This comes in at $ 1,209 per guest, per night.
You can save some money by going with a larger group. For example, three adults and one child can stay for $ 5,999, which comes down to “just” $ 749 per guest, per night.
More expensive options are available for a Galaxy Class Suite and a Grand Captain Suite. To find out more about the experience, we recommend checking out the official Disney World site.
What do you get for these amazing prices? In addition to the two-night simulated spaceship experience, guests have access to Disney’s Hollywood Studios (home to Galaxy’s fantastic Disney’s Edge area, complete with life-size props and two new awesome Star Wars rides). And each guest will receive two breakfasts, two lunches, two dinners and a quick meal.
The video above will give you a better idea of what this experience will be like. But fans are very divided that this ambitious attempt to bring a galaxy far, far away will be worth the cost.
Do you think Disney is charging too much, or is the price right for something so unique? Let us know in the comments!
