Part of what made Final Fantasy VII Remake special was that it was a
PlayStation exclusive. That exclusivity expired on April 10, but it’s a little early to hopefully see this title on other platforms.

Why is it too early? In a nutshell, Square Enix has not yet released any statements on the porting of the title. So while we are likely to see ports eventually, there are no specific plans on the horizon.

To make things even more complex, the game will soon receive an update for PS5 (known as Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade). While that updated version will arrive on June 10, it’s unclear how (or if) this will affect the exclusivity period for the title. And if the update has its own exclusivity period, the company may have to wait longer before they can transfer the Intergrade version to other consoles.

Until Square Enix makes official announcements, all we can do is wait. And PS5 players can look forward to their updated version, complete with improved graphics, a photo mode, and a new episode featuring fan-favorite character Yuffie.
