Hey all, I figured this club would be a nice one for me to join because of my love for story-driven games! I've been a huge fan of the Ace Attorney and Zero Escape franchises for a very long time (which I'm pretty sure both count as visual novels- they've got a bit more actual gameplay than usual but even still you're spending 90%+ of your playtime just pressing A to continue the dialogue). I'm also a big fan of the Persona series, currently playing through Persona 5 Royal. I think calling it a visual novel is a bit of a stretch, but it still carries a heavy narrative as its main appeal.
I'm not entirely sure what constitutes as an Otome, not familiar with that genre myself, however I did see some people mentioned The Arcana recently, which has been absorbing much of my spare time lately. Is that a good example of an Otome? Would love to hear from someone who's involved in these games themselves
