Great news for those of you using Google Fi on your Apple iPhone. Smartphones from Cupertino have finally got 5G support on the network with the latest iOS 16.4 software version. Until now, Google Fi subscribers could only use T-Mobile’s 4G network.
Of course, you need to have an iPhone 12 or later to connect to a 5G network, and you should enable the “5G Auto” toggle under Cellular Data Options in the Settings menu.
Support for the new features has been quite slow for iOS users of Google Fi as they have only recently been allowed to use the built-in VPN feature and eSIM cards.
