Asus’ competitor Steam Deck received a strange initial announcement on April 1, but it’s a real product and will hit global markets very soon. If you’re excited about it, you might be wondering how much money you’ll have to shell out for one, and today a new rumor gives us just that information.
According to multiple sources, it will cost $699.99 in its top-end iteration, which boasts the AMD Z1 Extreme chip, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. That makes it $51 more expensive than the 512GB Steam Deck.
It’s not yet clear how much the entry-level model with the non-Extreme Z1 will cost. ROG Ally features a 7-inch FHD 120Hz screen with Gorilla Glass DXC across the top, measures 11.02″ by 4.37″ by 0.83″ (279.9 x 110.9 x 21mm), and weighs 608g. Inside is an M.2 2230 SSD that you can upgrade with a single screw. The device battery charges from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes using the supplied 65W USB-C power brick.
