Xiaomi’s Black Shark unveiled the Black Shark 5 series in China last March, and we expect the company to announce the Black Shark 6 range around the same time this year. There is still no news from Black Shark about the Black Shark 6 series, but thanks to a reliable tipster Digital chat stationwe now have a good idea of what the Black Shark 2023 flagships will have to offer.
Second DCS extension, the Black Shark 6 series will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and include a 2K flat screen with a centered hole for the selfie camera. The main camera on the back will use the 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor, which could be joined by ultrawide and macro/telephoto units.

DCS extension claims that the Black Shark 6 series will feature dual speakers and come with “stronger active cooling” for sustained performance. It will have a metal build with a ceramic body structure, and powering the whole package will be a 5,000mAh battery with 120W charging.
It’s unclear how many smartphones the Black Shark 6 series will consist of, but if last year’s launch is anything to go by, we’ll see a vanilla model joined by RS and Pro versions in China, with regular and Pro variants making their do.
