The Poco M5 and Poco M5s smartphones are now official. Powered by Mediatek’s Helio G-series chipsets and large 5,000mAh batteries, these two aim to redefine the formula for value for money.
Little M5
The M5 features a 6.58 inch LCD display with Full HD + resolution and 90Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sample rate. There is a Gorilla Glass protector on the top of the screen and a hole for 5MP selfie camera.
There are three cameras mounted on an island that extends from one end to the other on the back. The 50MP f / 1.8 main shooter is assisted by 2MP f / 2.4 macro and 2MP f / 2.4 depth units.
Little M5
The highlight of the Poco M5’s spec sheet is the Helio G99 chipset, the first of the series based on TSMC’s 6nm process technology. It has two Cortex-A76 CPU cores running at 2.2 GHz and six Cortex-A55 drives at 2.0 GHz. On the Poco M5 it is paired with 4 GB or 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of UFS 2.2 memory.
