The nubia brand has just announced its Red Magic 8 Pro gaming smartphone. These are actually two different phones: the Red Magic 8 Pro with a 6,000mAh battery and 80W fast charging, and the Red Magic 8 Pro+ with a larger battery. small at 5,000mAh but faster charging at 165W.
The Plus version also comes with more RAM and storage options, but nubia has kept the same overall feature set and design: both the Pro and Pro+ share the same chipset, cameras, footprint, and software.
The two nubia Red Magic 8 Pro devices are equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It is coupled by a Red Magic R2 chip for better gaming effects, such as enhanced sound details, colors, touch sensitivity and haptic vibration feedback.
The screen is a 6.8-inch AMOLED with Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and up to 960Hz touch sampling rate. Just like its predecessor Red Magic 7 Pro, the 16MP selfie camera is located below the display, so there isn’t any kind of punch-hole design.
Speaking of cameras, there are three on the back. The main shooter has a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN5 sensor which is 1/1.57″ in size and has 1.0μm pixels.
