Samsung is rolling out the One UI 5.0/Android 13 update to the Galaxy A71 5G. The phone came out in early 2020 with Android 10, got One UI 3.0/Android 11 in early 2021, then One UI 4.1/Android 12 this March (skipped One UI 4.0). Now let’s move on to another major release of Samsung software and the latest Android features.

Galaxy A71 5G is receiving firmware with version A716BXXU6EVL2 and it seems UAE is the first country to get it, but this is just the preliminary rollout, the update is expected to expand to Europe and Asia in the coming days.

The update includes new versions of Samsung’s core apps, including Camera, Gallery, and Keyboard (which now have the ability to scan text from an image and convert it into something you can copy). There are also fun additions like new AR Emojis, emoji pairs, and kaomoji.

Some changes to the menus include adding Connected Devices and merging the Security and Privacy pages. By the way, the update also includes the December 2022 security patch.

By the way, the 4G version of the Galaxy A71 moved to Android 13 in November.
