Pekka Kana 2 (Pekka the Rooster 2) is a 2D platformer game where you control a rooster, made in the spirit of classic platformers such as Super Mario, SuperTux, Jazz Jackrabbit, Super Frog and so on.
The simple goal in each level is to find the exit sign, which is usually not that simple as it sounds because of enemies, traps, and quirky puzzles.
Pekka Kana 2 was released in year 2003 at Assembly '03 Game Development Competition, and placed 2nd.
Pekka 1 was released in the 1998 for DOS but went almost unnoticed.
Pekka 2 was released for mobile in 2003. It was on Playstore until 2023 when Google broke it.
Most alternative sites carried the game up to v1.4.2 for Android 10.
Development continued for a year but only in the source code up to 1.4.5.
Fans continue to submit code improvements and updates.
