The Padre Pio plant is an Aracea able to absorb the harmful substances present in the environment, thus purifying the air. Let’s get to know it.

The plan article by Padre Pio. Cultivation and care in the apartment seems to be the first on Organic Cultivation.

It's called Zamioculcas for anyone wondering :p

When people colloquially say some plants "purify the air" it may be misleading - lab results have indeed shown some substances' presence had been marginally reduced, but in real-life settings it's been so far inconclusive, not to say negligible. You'd probably need a jungle of them too see an effect.

What some plants might indeed be cool to have indoors for is their gaseous exchanges - CAM metabolism plants (typically cactii and succulents) absorb CO2 at night, unlike C3 and C4 which take different metabolic pathways.
