We had a similar system in place years ago. Turned out 90% of the "referrals" were duplicate/fake accounts of the main user. Outcome: we had to discard this, and to ban many thoudsand users as a result.

It was pretty a scummy way to get SB Points and poor, poor Staffs.
It is really easy to Get SB Points, but they are doing it the hardest/bannable ways possible. Lol
