I was recently requested to update this mod to work on Android 13 up.
I took a look at it and became very frustrated.
Upon researching I discovered that the game was made for Android 2 back in 2015, updated until Android 4 in 2016, and by 2017 had been removed by the developers due to significant changes in Android 5 breaking the game.
The game will install but not run on anything over Android 5.
Although some people reported mixed success on emulation, all but one emulator for Android-on-Android have been ruined by Google for Android 13 up, and the one that still works only goes down to Android 7.
I dusted off an Android 4.2 device and installed the game.
It works!
I made some mods -
A new signature for v1 and added v2.
Removed analytics and ad code.
Removed several unwanted permissions.
Recompiled using AAPT2
Disabled part of the backend since the download server no longer exists.
This updated mod was installed on Android 4.2 and once again works great.
When tested on Bluestacks, an Android emulator for PC, with either Nougat or KitKat 32bit installed, the old mod failed but the new mod works.
Unless someone gets a working Android 4x emulator working again for Android 13 up, this is the only way I've been able to preserve this classic game.
