Its actually comes under paid apk. Coz only paid apk you can release license hack.

Depends what you mean by old fashioned way. It will be a LP mod when you use only the Lp. For a example Let's say a Cog game . You released free IAP mod (full game unlock) using LP then it's a LP mod. But if you unlocked full game using LP as well mod the stats too then it's a actual mod.
