As expected, the Pixel 7a has generated a lot of interest: Google’s attractively priced quasi-flagship already has many buyers lined up. Some feel it’s too expensive, but pixel prices don’t hold long at MSRP.
For example, the Pixel 7 regularly drops to the same price as the 7a in places occasionally. The price fluctuates quite a lot, so you have to bide your time, but the slightly better hardware of the 7 is worth it.
Right now, a lot of people plan to do just that, grab the Pixel 7 at a 7a price point. And that will remain possible until the 7 is discontinued, which will likely happen around the launch of the Pixel 8. By which time the price of the Pixel 7a will have dropped.
One thing Google really needs to work on is bringing Pixel phones to more markets. We understand the company doesn’t have a lot of retail experience, but is leaving a lot of potential sales on the table right now.
In a result that shouldn’t surprise anyone, the Google Pixel Fold was deemed too expensive.
