Continuing the coverage of the new Xiaomi products that were announced today brings us to the Xiaomi Band 8, the Sound Move speaker and the new 86-inch mini-LED smart TV.
Xiaomi Band 8
The eighth iteration of the Xiaomi Band series carries its predecessor’s 1.62-inch AMOLED pill-shaped screen with a resolution of 490x192px and a refresh rate of 60Hz. Band 8 also offers Always on Display support and a peak brightness of 600 nits compared to Band 7’s 500 nits.

Band 8 comes with plenty of official strap options from Xiaomi, including all kinds of materials like leather, nylon fabric, and metal in various styles. Xiaomi also offers a pendant accessory and a clip that can be attached to shoes for more advanced posture tracking and monitoring.

The wearable is still waterproof up to 5 ATM and weighs 27 grams. The health monitoring sensors remain unchanged with a heart rate monitor, blood oxygen level detector, and sleep and stress tracking.
You get the same basic set of fitness tracking, but with the added benefit of interactive fitness classes that take advantage of the Band 8’s accelerometer to help you track your movement in real time.
