Last week, some images surfaced of a new Chromecast device with the same design as the current Chromecast with Google TV that comes with a bundled voice remote. That model supports 4K HDR output and launched nearly three years ago. This new model may only support 1080p resolution but would use the exact same remote as the Google Assistant to control the Chromecast.
New information from SnoopyTech on Twitter suggests that “Chromecast with Google TV (HD)” will retail for $ 40 and is already available at US retailers. The new Chromecast may launch soon, but we wonder if it will launch ahead of Google’s October 6 event, although times suggest it could go on sale on the day of the event.

The promotional images of the Chromecast with Google TV (HD) come from Win Future. In addition to all the renders on a white background, there are also several lifestyle images, confirming that the design is identical to the current Chromecast with Google TV.
It’s all coming together.
